This seminar will explore the research process that begins with developing a research question (Step 1) and ends with analysing and interpreting data (Step 5). The topics that will be covered during the seminar include:

  • Developing a research question
  • Choosing a research design: qualitative versus quantitative?
  • Primary and secondary data collection
  • Units of measurement
  • Types of variables
  • Measures of central tendency
  • The normal distribution
