VUPA is sponsoring a networking event for all postgraduate research students. 
Jon Yeo, the curator of TEDx Melbourne, will give a plenary on "Building Your Own Brand Story".

Building your reputation as a leader and researcher is more than stating your bio. It's a combination of knowing your reputation in the market and the value it creates for your audience. You need to learn how to effectively build rapport and trust with your audience in an authentic and natural way.

• What elements define great communication?
• How can we make that relevant and engaging with your audience?
• What are the technical delivery aspects that gain impact and how do you measure that?

This networking event will be held after the PhD Coursework Conference. The conference is the culmination of the PhD coursework units, where students will present on their research projects to an audience of peers and staff and develop a poster regarding ethical components of their work. Student posters will also be displayed at the conference.

VUPA will sponsor a Door Prize of $500 for research travel and two poster prizes for the People’s Choice and VUPA’s Choice of the displayed posters.

All postgraduate research students are invited to attend either the whole program (from 9:30 am) or the networking event & Lunch from 12:00.
