‘Step Up to Principal’ is part of VU’s suite of supervisor professional development opportunities. It is specifically designed to support progression from Associate Supervisor (Level 1) registration to Principal Supervisor (Level 2). The program has been designed to equip Associate Supervisor with the knowledge and skills lead a supervisory team and to be effective in overseeing a graduate research candidate through all the stages of their candidature from initial selection to thesis examination and classification. The program is delivered by Professor Anne-Marie Hede, Dean Graduate Research at Victoria University and Adjunct Professor Margaret Kiley (ANU).   

Part 3 is a 2 hour session and will focus particularly on:
Supervisor responsibilities in examiner selection, thesis examination and thesis classification.
