If you are submitting one of your first ethics applications, haven’t submitted one in a while, or are researcher new to Victoria University – this session is for you. 

The aim of this session is to highlight the key principles of Human Research Ethics and review the steps in preparing a Human Research Ethics Application using the University’s Online Human Research Ethics Application form through Quest.  

There will be focus on the key aspects required for a timely and successful application.  The session will also review such considerations as provision of supporting rationale for research, procedures for voluntary and informed consent and withdrawal from research and the minimization and management of risks. 

We will also discuss processes involved in amending an application after initial approval and you will be able to meet members of the Research Ethics team who will be able to answer any questions you may have in relation to your planned program of research.
