OHS Induction

This short session will cover some important basics of health and safety. It will include ergonomics and emergency preparedness.

Risk Management

This will be an interactive session that is aimed at helping the participant to write a risk assessment for their project.

This workshop will cover:

Recognition of responsibilities and accountabilities.

Explain when risk assessments are required and who should participate (consultation requirements).

Briefly look at basic requirements of legal compliance.

Definitions and risk assessment language.

Apply risk management process based on AS.

Completion of a risk assessment with identification of hazards.

Briefly use of risk matrix for initial risk and residual risk.

Identify potential controls using hierarchy and finding information on controlling risk.

Learn from incorrect behaviours or decisions to make better and more informed decisions.
