It's critical to have a plan for managing your research data. Ideally this should occur at the beginning of a research project but it’s never too late to get your research data in order. Having a plan for organizing, storing, securing, and sharing your data can provide benefits such as:
• Saving time;
• Avoiding data loss by using secure storage systems;
• Facilitating sharing;
• Complying with funder mandates
In this seminar we explain the benefits of managing your data effectively and step you through how to set up a data management plan. We also cover: how to share your data; how to find the data of others and how to cite data.
