Your researcher profile is more than a digital CV. It is a dynamic tool for showcasing your expertise, building collaborations, and positioning yourself for academic and professional success.

This interactive 2-hour workshop helps HDR students at all stages from the Master of Research to PhD to develop and optimise your academic and professional researcher identities. Whether you’re preparing for publication, industry engagement, or the job market, this session will provide hands-on guidance to make your research visible and impactful.

Through live demonstrations, guided activities, and peer feedback, participants will:

  • Identify key researcher profile platforms (e.g., ORCID, Google Scholar, ResearchGate, LinkedIn) and understand their distinct purposes.
  • Create or enhance their profiles to reflect research interests, publications, and professional values.
  • Craft a cohesive research narrative aligned with career aspirations.
  • Apply strategies to increase visibility, discoverability, and engagement across academic and industry networks.
  • Learn how an optimised researcher profile supports grant applications, collaboration, and employability.

Designed for both domestic and international HDR students, this workshop also explores how to translate academic research into accessible, professional language for diverse audiences including government, corporate, and community sectors.
