Be Successful Every Time, Human Research Ethics – Applications in Health, Sports and Exercise Science Research
Event box
Are you after strategies for navigating the development of a Human Research Ethics Application in Sports and Exercise Science settings? This session will help you develop your application seamlessly, keep on track and have a timely ethics process.
If you are planning to conduct research in Health, Sport and Exercise Science you will need to prepare early and determine what type of prior authority may be required, depending on whether organisational and coach approval is needed. If you are conducting research involving the Australian Institute of Sport you will need to have the approval of their human ethics committee after you have your Victoria University approval confirmed.
This session will give you a framework to approach your human research ethics application, so you hit the mark the first time, and have a faster turnover to approval.
In this session we will look at using the human research ethics process to further frame and structure your research project using tailored examples. We will discuss the project description, how to address the issue of recruitment and informed consent within Health, Sport and Exercise Science research.
